i concur. 1/2 the original thickness with one sheet on top and one on bottom. just let me stress that you want to have the tank clamped so that you don't repair it into a bad bow. make sure that there isn't any space in the crack.

well I dont think you are concuring.... your not saying the same thing as him... he said only use one piece not to 'sandwich' the tank, but you said to use two....

Yea like I said before Im not exactly an expert with acrylic.. But i wo uld also do it on both sides.. if not, at least the underside.. if you bonded a piece only to the top, the crack on the inside can still let moisture/salt inside and eventually erode the joint

in my personal opinion i would not do less than both top and bottom. salt creep happens everywhere. a 1/8thickness would be ok on a 75gal, but you'll need a lot more on this size tank.
this is a bigger tank than most people would try to repair. if there is a leak it's going to be enough to destroy an entire floor. i would probably try to drain it at least halfway into other tanks and repair.
i would first look at whether i could drain the tank entirely and get that center brace out. if you have that option then you could just replace it and be done with a nice sturdy tank. i've a lot of extra tanks around, so that'd be my first. not most people.
good luck!
