There is a 350 gallon acrylic tank on CL for $125. The top support piece has 2 hair-line cracks but they have been patched/repaired in by a reputable LFS in the Chicago area.
i know you are not allowed to post competitor ads, but i am not sure if craigslist classifieds count as a competitor so i am going to throw this link up, and if it isnt allowed i'll take it down immediately.
I dont have any plans (not to mention the space) at this time to set up a 350g but for the price it is definately eye catching. I will definately buy it and have it sit dry for a couple years if you guys think it is a good buy.
Please check it out and let me know your thoughts.
there are pics in the ad.

HA, just got this email from the guy,
"I utterly screwed up and apologize. I should have realized it when I received so many responses. I listed it at the wrong price, meant to ask for $225. I am out of work and need the money, so I cannot honor the $125 wrong price. I have updated the listing, and added some answers to questions.
I am so sorry about this, and will completely understand if you are no longer interested. If you are, let me know. I am home all day tomorrow.
Jim"

to bad I don't live in Chicago, oh wait, to bad this guy isn't in Corpus. That is better.
What a turd, I got tons of responses I'll jack up the price. If he doesn't know what he's doing it might be ok, but if he knows what he's doing and is only selling it for 200 bucks it has to be ROYALLY screwed up.

That's exactly what he did....sat back and waited on the responses, then jacked the price up.

You know this is up there in the Mi-Il area. I wonder if this is our liberal lawyer friend's tank? He had something like a 350-400 gallon tank that he just tore down.

Well the guy my being a jerk for doing this...but still not a horrible price for that big of a tank. I would atleast try to take a look at it in person?

Most certainly something he would do (reverse "chew" someone down), but looking at the pics, this tank has/had rock and his was empty I thought (other than rays).

I see nothing wrong with him raising the price. Maybe he didnt know what he had then boom 10 people have cash in hand. I have done the same exact thing before. No big deal IMO
