I first posted this in the aggresive forum but now since I'm not going to add the dwarf lion, I think this forum would be better, sorry if I'm wrong!
The fish I'm for sure going to have is a snowflake eel, but for tankmates I've decided to have either a flame angel or a like 5 assorted damsels.
I'm worried that the snowflake eel will pollut the water to much for a flame, so is it better to go with the damsels(domino, or 3 striped)?
thanks

I've never owned or kept eels - so I will pass on this part of your Q.
A tankfull of assorted damsels could be one tough neighborhood for most ANY other fish you put in there - most. I would not do it - but I'm sure others have.
They're very aggressive little nippers - at near any size.
Personally I have kept damsels - and they seem to do better with just one in the tank, with maybe the exception of some green chromis.
I did keep a beautiful flame anglefish for a 1-1/2 years. Was absolutely the coolest looking fish, and was very active - fun to watch.
It began nipping/eating some corals - I returned it to store.
Not much help Watcher - sorry

I have seen all of my fish use the bathroom (that sounds kinda childish don't it?) except the eel. I think hes the least waste-producing fish in my tank. My .02 is take the damsels back and get a hawkfish of some sort. They are agressive fish that can definatley hold their own. They are also one of the coolest fish to watch. Bo

Snowflakes are really nice eels they have a majestic serpant look to them really need but i would advice against them for one reason they are nearly blind and torwards feeding time they are none to take bites ate fish most times they just bite and realize they are not food and let go but this is rather stressful and cause some fish to get disease's also those damsels can be a meal once the eel gets a lil bigger

Sorry about the spelling im trying to the experience i had with that fish wasnt good he didnt eat but bit a hole in my stars and stripes puffer while the krill was being eaten wasnt his fault but regardless the fish is dead now other than that he is nice and if u can keep the tank clean with good filteration and he doesnt attack the flame angel it will be a nice tank

we are new to saltwater fish keeping, so have had nothing but damsels due to their inexpensive nature, however, they are going back to the lfs one by one since they are so aggressive towards each other. As soon as one goes, the next one in line takes over the "alpha" role. Pretty soon there will be 39 gals for one fish!

I haven't got the damsels yet, I'm one of those people who check and recheck before they buy a fish just to make sure
thanks for the info
