Hey guys, i'm compilling a list of what i want to put into my 36 gallon bow front so i can start researching about the different species. I was wondering if anyone here had a 36 gallon or similar and what they had in it, and also if anyone had any ideas. I"m just trying to compile ideas. Here one list i've come up with but i'm still thinking about it thoroughly. Thanks guys.
1 false percula clownfish
1 goby (not sure which kind yet)
1 scooter blenny
1 pygmy angelfish
1 damsel (the blue and yellow one)
1 coral banded shrimp
Thats what i've come up with so far not sure how that would do but i'm still not 100% sure so i was hoping you guys could give me some good ideas. Thanks again.

1 false percula clownfishgood fish but i will add it at the end since it might be aggressive
1 goby (not sure which kind yet) twin spot is a cute one
1 scooter blenny no since you will need lots of pods and such. we wouldnt it to die. get a refugium
1 pygmy angelfish
1 damsel (the blue and yellow one)no. they are aggressive
1 coral banded shrimp had one and it ate my fish. never like them again.
i would get 2 firefish
3 chromis
2 percs

i have a 36 bowfront but i also have a sump which may allow me to keep a few more fish. anyways lose the damsels cause they are aggressive and some lose their color as they age...one in my LFS was brown cause it was so old.
i plan on getting:
2 clarkii clowns
2 red firefish
1 flame hawk
1 midas blenny
and if my bioload will hold more:
1 sixline wrasse
1 coral beauty angel
like i said my tank volume is around 50 gallons cause of my sump so i might be able to have more fish. i picked my fish cause of personality and balance of color in the tank.
i would get another fish to replace the damsel and lose the coral banded shrimp for a cleaner shrimp...they are very cool. also the scooter will needs pods so dont get him cause you need a refugium.
IMO as long as your fish arent crowded and your bioload can take it you decide for yourself how many fish you can have. just make sure to add one (or two if theres a pair) at a time.

This set up sounds great, and i have actually thought about almost the same set up only i had one perc instead of two but i would love to have a pair. Sounds like i'll definetly do away with the damsel fish for sure, but if i do that which fish do you think i should introduce first into the tank? and aren't chromis a form of damselfish? Also, i think i might add in a cleaner shrimp instead of the coral banded shrimp. I don't want him killing any of my fish or other inhabitants. Here is my updated potential list:
2 firefish
1 pygmy angelfish (or the 3 chromis not sure yet one of the two)
2 percs
1 goby
Thanks for all the suggestions and info guys, i really am not sure yet. Ive been keeping freshwater tanks for over 10 years, and it seems like there are so many more saltwater fish varieties and personalities than freshwater so im trying to figure out what i want ahead of time lol. Thanks again

chromis are a type of damsel but they are peaceful. i had 3...despite what people say about them picking at eachother mine are nice. one died from getting sucked into a powerhead so i have 2 now...just a reminder to make sure your powerheads are fish safe lol.
i would go with the angel over the chromis though. im bringing my chromis back when i move my tank. an angel would be kinda like a show fish...which is what im doing in my tank.
