37 Gallon with a 65W compact - enough light for a anemone?

Hello everyone,
I am putting together a smaller tank for the office area of the home.
I am going with a 37 gallon. The light that came with the set up is just the normal 20W light. I upgraded it to a 65W compact light, is this good enough for the LR and anemone?
Thanks as always!

yes that lighting is good enough for the lr but there is no anemone that would survive under those conditions

man thats not even two watts a gallon...There's not a chance of keeping an anemone under those conditions...Try multiplying your wattage by 4 or 5 times...that shoudl do it.

37 gallon - is that a footprint of 30 X 12? I have a 29 gallon, which has the same footprint but not as tall. I use 225 watts of VHO and am keeping an RBTA. (2 actually, due to a split) I don't in the least feel I have too much light, so you may want to look for a similar VHO set up or maybe even MH due to the depth of your tank.
Hope this helps.. :happyfish

There is a pretty active reef club in your area - do a search on "Fox Valley Reefers" - you'll find lots of people near you

nope anemones do best under MH lighting, but they need VHO BARE MINIMUM (even then they might not survive)

My experience is that as long as you have a mature tank (1 year old), then 130 watts of PC lighting is fine.
Just make sure that your live rock is stacked up high enough for the anemone to get as close to the light as it wants.
With this lighting you would be able to keep BTAs or LTAs.
