Found a local guy tearing down a tank wanting to unload some fish. Would you add a 4" Lunar Wrasse to this mix? Or would I be better putting him in with my DME.
240g
300lbs of LR with mutliple caves
Tankmates:
Snowflake Moray
Brazilain Goldentail (aka Banana) Moray
Blond Naso Tang - male
Yellow Tang
Flame Angel
Majestic Angel
Australian Harlequin Tusk
Red Sea Green Bird Wrasse - male
Red Coris Wrasse
Lg Maroon Clown - female
2 x 4 Stripe Damsels
Azure Damsel
Starkii Damsel
Yellowbelly Damsel
Someone in this tank killed a 5" Banana Wrasse ( I guess) as he went MIA after 2 days and eating. For $5 I might risk it and hope the Lunar can hold his own.
Thoughts?

I had a lunare in my 55g QT for quite some time and he was awesome. Super aggro but when they get big they are stunning.
I would try it for sure!

I really like the Lunare I have in my 150gal. He's pretty agressive when it comes to feeding, otherwise I haven't had any problems. Very interesting and active fish.

Alright for $5 it's can't hurt. Guys says he's had them 8 months or so and they are Ich free. I'll check it out when I get there.
2 - 3" Four Stripe Damsels - $1
1 - 2" Blue Velet Damsel - $1
1 - 3.5" Blue Damsel - $1
1 - 4" Lunar - $5
Let you guys know how I make out. Seems like a steal to me.

I saw a huge lunare wrasse a few weeks ago and fell in love with it! Hope it does good in your tank if you get it.

you already have a few to many wrasses in this tank along with a tusk .. lunars are very aggressive ... excuse my ignorance of abbreviations but what is a DME?

Go for it I like you got lucky with my Lunare had someone near me getting out of SWF also and he sold me his 5 inch Luanre for 10 bucks lets just say that sucker eats anything. However he does have an issue from time to time with my female Clarki clownfish She has chased him more than once down the eel tubes.

Sorry to hear about the Sunset....Hope the Lunare works out, I had one for several years, he wasn't bad. He wasn't afraid to squabble with his tankmates, but never a real problem.

Right. That's how mine is. He won't back down from a fight but I've never seen him start one. It's usually when the trigger or powder blue start somthing that he gets into it. And at feeding time, he goes a little nuts. lol

Here is the new $5 pickup floating last night. I saw the Green Bird really not too happy about another green fish, but I killed the lights as soon as I added him and they were off all night.
Fingers crossed as he is quiet impressive looking.

Day 1, he was out and doing great. Ate and covered the entire tank.
Red Coris and Tusk ignored, Green Bird ignored until he got near his Nori sheet while feeding the Tangs.
But this guy is like a bullet, so I think he will be fine. Stay tuned.

He will soon rule the tank, trust me. Mine was a little passive at first but no other fish messes with him anymore. The powder blue chased him for a while, until the lunare took a chunk out of his side. Now the powder blue won't mess with him.
