Just wondering if anyone is using the tek 5X39 watt on a 3 foot tank. I am considering purchasing one of these, but I want to know if I should pop the $ for the extra bulb, I am keeping mushrooms soft corals, and frogspawn under PC now. would I be able to keep clams with the tek 5? tank is a 46 bow front.
Thanks in advance

Teks are either 4 or 6 lamps, Aquactinics makes a 5 lamp fixture. 4 lamps would probably be plenty for a 46.

you are correct, I have looked at so many fixtures I must have listed the wrong brand, I am trying to decide between the 4 X 39 tek and the 5 X 39 Aquatinics.

As far as the "good" T5 fixtures go the Tek's are at the back of the pack. The Aquactinics is way better.

I jusy received my aquactinics yesterday and they are down right awsome. The reflectors were almost like looking into a mirror once the protective coating was removed. The fixture is light weight and when the bulbs turned on it was like a night and day difference between my old coralife PC lighting. So I recomend the Aquactinics. When I get t around to resizing my pictures I will post pics but trust me you will not be diapointed with the Tx5

Okay here are some pics of my 75gal with the Aquactinics Tx5 light. I am going to start to convert it to a reef now. These pics arent the greatest but you will get the idea. The dull light picture is the coralife PC and the other is the Tx5. Huge difference!!!
