did you add the 3 maxi jets in yet? I would luv to know how that system is working out?

just 1 adding the rest tonight. so far so good, I did some adjustments today to the skimmer lowered the skimmer basket etc... so that the skimmer part of it thats in the tank (that extra part I bought) is lower down. I might put a carbon filter in there later, but for now its clearing up nicely, perfectly clear now, added the shrimp today so hopefulyl the cycle will begin soon!

thank you, probably going to get more sand and rock soon. Not too much more rock just a good amoutn more at my LFS and then maybe one more back of sand, so 60lb instead of 40lb

I think you good with the sand. but it's your tank. but i agree with about 10#... some nice hand picked LR... that would be great.
