45 gallon

i am speculating about buying a 45 gallon tank i just wanted to know if thats considered a big tank and how many fish can i put in it

depends on what you want to do with it...yes it is a big tank, but for certain fish, no its a small tank..youd be looking at a couple clowns, firefish, gobies, etc all those small fish, and you could probably get around 5-6 in there..

i have picked out some fish
2 tomato clowns
1 longnose hawkfish
1 flame hawkfish
1 royal gramma
maybe 2 blue damsels

those would be fine in a 45 except in pretty sure 2 hawks cant go together, and damsels are aggressive

I have a 46 bowfront and I have just four fish, then I have two cleaner shrimp, two fire shrimp, a Mandarine and a lawn mower blennie. I will not get any more fish than this or I am going to overload. So keep it where you have about 4 to 6 fish dependig on their growth.

I would skip the damsels, very aggressive and territorial. I have a tomato & love it! It hosted instantly with my Sebae Anemone
too.
