yeah sure is.....just wanting to see if I could get someone to respond...haven't had much luck....just bought a used 48" odyssea mh fixture without reading the reviews on it. the guy i got if from has had it for 18months or so and it has worked fine. however i am still a little nervous about the ballast situation. i hear that an aqua medic ballast is comprable with the same fixture and can just simply be plugged into the fixture with the regular wall adapater. wanted to know if anyone knows if this is correct or not. I am going to order new bulbs for it and wanted to order the ballast as long as I don't have to cut chords or anything
I have heard that as well, as I looked into that light when I was fixture shopping. I can't tell you for sure, somebody that's tried it will have to chime in on this one, sorry.
found the answer which is a good answer...called aqua medic directly and the ballast is complete plug and play with an adapter.....they sent me the adapter that will fit the plug directly for 15.00........quick and easy fix and won't have to worry about my house burning down when I am not there...which is a bonus completely.....just in case anyone is looking for help in this matter
So you are going to use an aqua medic ballast? or what explaine this to me better.
I was going to mod out an odyssea fixture. This might be a better way to go and cheaper.
