5 1/2 Nano Diary

Here's the start of what's going to be a 5 1/2 gallon nano reef. The light you see on the tank is a 18w PC light with 1 50/50 bulb. I may upgrade into the high 20w range later. This weekend I'll be building a stand and canopy for my tank. Might seem a bit over the edge, but I want it to look nice. Should be getting the LR within the next 2 weeks to start the cycle and then substrate and so on.... more pics to follow.

small goby, a few zoos, mushrooms, ricordea, leather and pom-pom xenia.

got the stand frame done, just need to widen the base and add panels, shelf, door, and trim.

I dunno, 5 1/2 gallons of water is A LOT of weight.

stand needs shelves, door and trim. Canopy needs front door and hinges. Going to stain in black and water proof it this week sometime. Coming along nicely though.

I have to admit, I'm havin fun. This is my first DIY stand/canopy. It just seems like it'll never be done. Especially with me on the computer..... back to work. More pics to follow.
