5 Expelled Students, Two suspensions...Thats What School Is these Days

Yup, 4 kids today at my school were suspended and soon possible to be expelled. Then Two Bloody Fights..
Well here is what i have heard from what has happened with the drug thing
A student stole over the counter pills from his grandfather and gets high off the pills with his friends the morning before school started. The Three students each take about 3-5 hits. They get high BADLY. They put more in there backpacks and go to school. They each take about SIX more hits at lunch. The three kids are stoned and "baked". So badly that one student could not write there own name, they randomly got up and left the room, came back, and left again. Constantly dropping things and forgetting to pick them up. a teacher notices there attitudes the day and quickly finds out and piece together what happened. They find out a student who took a total of 9 doses of the pills is majorly sick and rushes him to the hospital along with one other kid who took the pills. 2/3 kids who took the pills get rushed to the hospital. The kid who stole the pills also tricked a kid it was the stolen pills from is grandfather but actually were laxidants.
At the same time, two other kids are caught for doing Marijuana the same morning before school.
Then during school, TWO bloody fights
Our school is one of the top ranked in the whole US and this is VERY rare to see here.

seems to me if those that took that many are not dead, they are DAMN lucky

I'm glad you have never done anything BUT.....it saddens me that you have not done anything cause of the stress of being caught

How about the fact it can kill you,...Not gonna preach about drugs....BUTTTTTTTTT......come on......DON'T DO DRUGS for the right reason....not for fear of being caught

i used to get high before school way long ago. Its no big thing if you have everything in order. My GPA wasnt great, but my act and sat scores were fine and I did go to college for a while. If I were you, I would worry less about the gossip at your school and pay more attention in english class. The one glaring mistake I see over and over and over and over in your first post is
There - a place. Can be easily remembered as "place that thing over there. Here? Yes, there.
Their - people.
The more you get caught up in gossip at school, the more you worry about nonsensical, completely irrelivant stuff. Being in HS, all that should be important to you is finding that one or 2 special people that you can be friends with for the rest of your life, and keeping your GPA up. Concerning yourself with fights, drugs, and all that other crap will just bring you down. While it may seem important now, its not. Get through HS and prepare for college (if what you want to do actually requires a degree.).
Dont worry about getting caught doing the drugs, just dont do them.
Or do them at home. LOL

im guessing this is oxycotton....u say hits as they were smoking it and this is a terriable life to live. I cant believe u have to expierence something like this at ur age blackjack! It dosent matter if its weed, pills, or even booze. Its all bad man and not worth even tryin! I know that pills are becoming a bigger and bigger problem for the youth these dayz and to actually hear from u about it hurts man! My years in highschool, we did a lot of drinking and other stuff but the pillz came after us and to see the people, and younger friends get sucked into this really makes me disappointed! Be strong little one and focus on the school. Im sure any1 of us here will tell u that we would have done it all diffrent and got better grades and gone even to college too! Now i have to work my butt off in a factory just to make a lil $. Go to college and find something you enjoy doing and youll make a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$.......sry to hear this blackjack!

The bottom 10% has to go school just like the rest of 'em. They'll weed themselves out eventually (jail/death/dropout)....
I'd go into a rant about the reasons those things happen at your school, namely every kid seemingly being forced to think they have to be in some magical top percentage to get anywhere in life, but digress....

when i was in 8th grade, the teacher said 1 out of every 5 of us will drop out. He literaly went around the room and counted us in 5s..... I hear now its something ridiculus like 3 out of 5.

Maybe we should start drug testing kids. It's pretty clear that loaded kids not only have a hard time learning but also disrupt the kids who want to learn.

I pose to you..... why isn't it a RIGHT reason? Was it wrong for me to never do drugs because I watched my mother ruin her life with them? How is there a RIGHT reason????

Life is subjective to "Life experiences" and if you do not have the same experience (like a mother who did heroine in front of me for years, stole in front of me and beat me) you probably will not use the excuse "Because Jerth's mother did drugs" as your excuse. So if he doesn't want to do them because "he doesn't want to get caught", it is his life experiences that have led him to not want to do it for that reasoning.
The fact of the matter is, if he DOES NOT DO THEM it was the RIGHT reason!
(I don't mean to start any battles over this, but I came from a rough, drug related background, and I give all kudos to any person who chooses the path of refraining from drugs, for what ever reasons.I also work with kids that are a lot of the times recovering from, or trying to kick a drug habit.)

That would qualify as a "right reason" by meowzer's post. The only "wrong reason" she mentioned, was not doing them because of the fear of getting caught. You didn't do drugs, because of your experiences with your mother. Not because you didn't want to be punished.

My kids don't take extra cookies cause they don't want to get caught and punished..... what's the difference? ( Do you think my 3 year old daughter is concerned about weight issues, health consequences, or anything like that? No, she doesn't to do it because if she gets caught she will be punished.)

Does his reason keep him clean? Yes!
Do kids WANT 2 experiment? Yes!
So at least he uses a truthful explanation why he never experimented!

lol thanks Jerth! My parents are divorced but neither of my parents never smoked or any drugs so I guess you had it harder.

lol my English grade right now is a B. Im not the best computer typer because of the "text" language. If you all want me to i can go all txt lang on you all. now wudnt tht b annying.
I agree with getting cought up in Gossip. Last year, I started the school year off with a science grade of an A. Then in the middle of the year, she let me sat with all my friends in the back. And guess what happend? In two weeks, my dropped to a low D. She noticed this, move me back to the front, and i brought it to a B, barely.

i remember being so stoned in high school i had to walk the hall touching the lockers.i did get my diploma though.after high school we played with all kinds of drugs .i grew up and started my business but alot of my friends didnt .from what i hear some of them either live in a horrible apartment or had to move back to their parents.we are 40 years old.how sad is that?
i dont for one second regret anything i did when i was young.i have some very funny memories.but today it is a different world.i wouldn't recommend what i did these days.luckily i never was caught by the police .we really didnt do retarded things like vandalism or robbery .just good old get drunk and high and play with our girlfriends.
i dont think everyone can just grow up and move on so these days i would suggest the straight and narrow path.especially with the way the economy and world war is.
stay off the pipe and you will be better off.
