hi all,
new to this not sure if i'm doing everything correctly? I'm trying to work a 5 gallon nano I've read up quiet a bit but am still unsure. I'm using real water from pacific, along with live rock and sand. For lighting I'm running the 50/50 flourescent. everything seams to be doing great. looking for feed back on water ciculation, heater? also the rock is full of life is there anything I should look out for that I don't want there? :notsure:  it's been about 3 weeks. what now

A small powerhead for water circulation would be good enough for the size of your tank, look into something like a maxijet 400. As for a heater, I would suggest you get the EBO 50w one. It has automatic shut off even if your water is running low and it has 2 layers of glass as well so it won't crack or break too easily. Next you'll be looking at testing some of your water. Have your LFS test for you if you don't wanna buy your own test kits (if you don't have any), but it's always good to have your own test kits ready at home in case of any problem with the water parameter. You can find out what's the problem right away with some test kits on hand. HTH
