Can I put a clown in a 5 gallon by itself with just LR?

Maybe if the clown is very small . . . for a very short period of time. In most cases, no. :nope:

I suggest a 10 gallon with live rock and two clowns....thats would make the clown(s) happier....tanks aren't alot of money....im sure someone here could hook you up...i just gave mine away or i would certainly help you out..lol

it is not about the $, I already have the 5 gallon set up in my daughters room. It has been set up for 1 year and her yellow damsel just died.
maybe i will add a green chromie instead.

oh very tru.....I have a 3 strpie damsel that looks nice..or maybe a fire fish...or royal gamma....
