That would be around 1200 gallons. Anything over 500 is just plain beasty! Be sure to post the pics when it's done. Would love to see it.
Good luck.

Hey Hairtrigger. It's rather interesting that you know the guy. I've had my eye on that tank since he put it up. Can you give me some scope information concerning it?

He's not selling the reef or animals. The description says it is no longer setup, and the pic is from a couple years ago He's only selling the tank, stand and equipment.

I was going to buy that tank and put some fake corals and 2 damsels in it. just kidding! makes you wonder though, i was at the LFS and a rich guy placed a custom tank order for his house, total was $145,000. can you believe that???? and some people have the nerve to say they would be bored if they won the lottery...sheesh.

Yeah, the guy was a tang/ surgeonfish nut. I am not too sure what he does for a living. But, apparently he would go into Aquarium Showcase and order 25,000 dollars worth of stuff at a time. He lives up in Alpharetta, I think in CCS. (Country Club of the South.) I am not sure on that one though. But, the tank was amazing. surprisingly, I hear the thing was not very attractive except for the livestock inside. The stand was just regular wood, nothing special. But the thing was stocked with oodles of expensive, large specimens. He knows what he is doing, has great equipment, the tank stand just wasn't anything special. But, if you're buying a whole ocean who cares? If you can afford to stock it.... deffinitly go for it. But, just think of how much salt you need to do 1 water change. WOW. :D
