Does this sound good for a 55 gal?
-1 lawnmower blenny
-1 blue damsel
-2 percula clownfish
-1 sebae clownfish
-1 domino damsel
-1 yellow tang
-1 sixline wrasse
I'll also be adding inverts to this. The tank is a FOWLR and has about 50 lbs of rock.

out of the fish you want these are the ones you can have:
-1 lawnmower blenny
-2 percula clownfish
-1 sixline wrasse
the damsels get too aggressive, and you tank isnt big enough for a tang, and you cant have more than 1 species of clown

It is funny how opinions differ and experience tells tales!
I had always heard that the more decorative the damsel (dominoes, for instance) the more aggressive the attitude. I have a yellowtail blue damsel who is shy and retiring and the plain-jane yellow damsel is the
of the tank.
Green chromis are usually a nice tankmate in 2+ numbers. The wrasse family also produces a number of peaceful types.
I've had fun looking at the list of fish here and just randomly choosing and reading. Quite interesting.
In a 55 you should be able to keep at least 4 other fish. I am also 55 and am maxed out at 11. I do count anemone and crabs (3 of the 11).

By the by, if you spend a bit of time reading the posts here, you will find some common threads concerning fish who play nice and are generally enjoyable.

I already have the blue damsel and the domino damsel. I find that the blue damsel is not aggressive at all and keeps to himself while the domino is the meaner one. Do you suggest I return the domino?

Domino's are really cute when small but when they get bigger they loose that nice black velvet look and go a gray color. Yes they are mean from what everyone says. I don't know about the blue damsel but my yellowtail blue damsel is a sweety. It had never shown any aggression towards anything in my tank. At times the clowns and my coral beauty will put the run on it but never hurt it. Then there are times that this little guys stands up to those fish and it is quite cute.
Instead of the Tang what about a dwarf angel?

I am interested in what Debbie says about fish "putting the run on" (I like that!) other fish, but no harm comes from it. Good point.
There will probably always be some skirmishes.
Maybe the trick is starting with what you want (or already have) and letting the tank grow from there?
I have no personal experience with more that one clown (a tomato) though I have seen pairs of like types and they do make a nice attraction. I do have a feeling that if you add a pair together, they will fare better than adding them separately.

If you have a blue devil damsel which is probably what you have since you call it a blue damsel, if you take the domino out which I would then the blue will become aggressive to anything else. The domino will always be the bully but if you take him out the blue will take over. Plus dominos can reach a length of six inches and they loose the white spots. Blue damsels can get to be about 4 inches and are almost as aggressive. Unless you are going with big fish that can hold their own (which in a 55 gallon you probably aren't) I would get rid of the damsels and get yourself some more peaceful colorful fish. Small reef safe wrasses are really nice fish for a tank that size. Dwarf angels, cardinalfish, chromis, small butterflyfish, plus more. Make sure you know the personality and eventual size of the fish you get.
