55 gal water transfer

I am building a sump tank for my 55 gal tank what kind of water tranfer do i need to get? I was thinking of getting a 800gph over flow and a mag 950 return pump, is this to much! also consider that some time down the road i want to get a bigger tank! any help would be helpful. thanks!

From what people have told me you want to turn your water over 8-10X an hour. So a min of 550 gph but you have to look at your pump to see the loss for vertical height and figure that in. But sounds like you have the right idea. I am sure a shark will jump in and correct me if I am wrong or back me up. Good Luck.
