B4 you get another fish I would add any Live Rock first (you will get a mini cycle from the rock). After the rock is done cycling you are good to add 1 fish. wait till all your reading go back to 0 B4 adding another fish. I know this is a lot to take in, but you may also want to set up a QT tank or you may have another thread in the disease forum started.

You would only get a "mini" cycle if the rock is not cured. Most LFS have cured live rock, and it won't mess with parameters at all. Either way, OP should use a QT (quarantine tank) to add that 1 fish, and not put it right into the display.

I agree. Lr is super helpful in keeping a tank healthy. I just put mine in rt away w no issues but mine is fully cured at my lfs
