55 Gallon Custom Hood

For sale is a 55 gal. custom hood. I bought it about 4 months ago for $175 new. I put 3 96watt PC's in it. The PC's are about 3 months old. Asking $175 with lights obo. Lights and ballasts work great. Ballasts are Custom Sealife and the bulbs are Coralife 96w. 1 10k, 1 50/50, and 1 actinic. I can remove the lights if needed. Thanks for your interests.

The hood was $175 alone. Each light was 40 something bucks at LFS. How about $100 plus shipping?

What are the dimensions of the inside? I have a 50 gal with a 48.5"x13.5" outside measurement at the top. Will your hood sit on this? How long are the lights? Were you able to successfully keep coral, anemones, etc?

I will not be home until the morning to get the specs. And yes I have had a couple of leathers, fox coral, polyps, and mushrooms for over a year with these lights. The shrooms and polyps grew like crazy. I want to say the lights are 36" but not sure. I switched to a metal halide,PC, Moonlight fixture. Had some money burning a hole in my pocket.
The lights are only about 3 months old.

Measured this morning. It will fit. The top has a lip on the inside to allow you a half inch or so of play.

how do you want to get paid? Oh, and forgive the newbie question, but what exactly do the ballasts do?

$100 plus shipping. Do you have a Paypal account? If not cashiers check otr money order. The ballasts run the lights. They plug into the wall and the lights plug into the ballasts. They are very quiet too. No noise what so ever. I say this because I have heard some that buzz a little.

Great. I need your address to find out shipping costs. I'm looking it up under UPS.com...Thats the only way I know to find out. I have a local UPS store here I could take it to.

I got some shipping info for you. Shipping is $28.25 but I have to buy a box to put it in. They cost $14 for the size we need. That put total at $42.25 for shipping. I'm going to try and find a box somewhere this evening to save you some dough. :thinking: email me at...juiced67@hotmail.com
