55 gallon lighting

Hi, umm i am goin to upgrade to a 55 gallon tank soon and i was wondering what would be considered Low, Med, and High lighting for this tank.
48 1/4 x12 3/4 x21

Low - Flourscent junk that comes with a tank
Med - Compact Flourscent bulbs
Med/Hi - T5
Hi - Dual 150w Metal Halide

A good set of T5's with individual reflectors can blow away a Dual 150 watt MH.
Low - Standard fluorescent

High - T5 with individual reflectors or Metal Halide

Totally agree. I have T5 and I love them. I do not have individual reflectors (yet). J

but what like watt because there is like 192 watt compacts ive seen and 92 wats ones

48" T5ho are 54 watts each. If you don't want any restrictions, you're going to want 4-5.

go with the t5 4x54w. i currently hv the t5 8x54w on my 72.
