my friend just got the nova 8 and it doesn't flip up and its about 12 in. so its the same width as my 55 gal. and maybe yours, I would check out the dimensions.

The nova extreme set doesn't have individual reflectors. I was considering those myself but the lack of reflectors made me just go with cheaper PC's for now.
