starting the 55 soon gonna post all the pics and progress here but this it the general idea.
-55 gallon tank
-randy stacy skimmer plans here
-4x 54 watt t5 ho lighting
-20 gallon sump
-fuge
-1800 gph 6 outlet closed loop

Just had to say hi! I was looking into the Wasatch Marine Society last night, I bet their Coral Cutting Night was so much fun! I may just have to join soon.

can't wait to see pics, i have a 55gal aswell and i am going to make it into a mixed reef. I recently did a whole scrub down of my tank(watch out for that cyano!

) and now i'm begining to add some corals and more fish. I love to see what other people with my same set up have in their tanks ***)

also is 36 watts of pc ok for some shooms in a 10 gallon

ordering 3 little giant 3-MDQ-SC pumps today for the closed loop
also a 400 gph needle wheel pump for the skimmer

I don't think so.

Well, whether it's overstocked is a bit subjective. Fairy wrasses can get pretty big, up to 6". That, and with a total of 9 fish, I personally thing it's a bit over. I wouldn't keep much more than 6 or 7 fish max (7 seems pushing it a bit). Maybe skip the wrasse or choose something instead of 5 Chromis?
