i plan on setting up up a 55 or 75 , i have a 55 tank already , but htining about buying a 75. heres what i want to do 100#ls 100#lr, emporer 400 hob filter aqua c remora pro with mag 3 pump. to house 1 volitan lion, 2 maroon clowns and maybe an snowflake eel. how does this all sound. now if i go with the 75g instead of a hob maybe a canister filter or magaflow sump and suggestion would be great, i plan on putting this together soon.

i would say go with the 75 the extra 6 inches of width makes a world of diffrence, also i do really recommend a sump it makes life so much easier and also makes for a much cleaner tank, your fish list looks good for that size tank also. I personally think volitans should be reserved for very large systems i know that dont swim much but they do get huge and would prob reccomend considering one of the smaller lions
take a look at this

now your on your way to an awesome setup your fish list is really good
maybe think of adding one of the more peaceful triggers, niger, blue throat, or sargassum but this might be pushing it if u are going sump i would consider rethingking your skimmer now also the coralife super skimmer is awesome and cheap

Bio balls are a bad iedea home for nitrates.Use live rock in there in the place of the bio balls. I use no mecanical filtreation. I have live rock in my inter fillter and only run carbon in the power filter.
