55 Reef. Questions on Fish....

I now have a 55 reef with a true percula, royal gamma, firefish, and sixline wrasse. They are all small (less than 3 inches each except firefish which may be 3"), because I've bought most of them in the past two months. But my question is, in the future, if UNFORTUNATELY some of my fish pass on (as most fish do), will a yellow tang out grow my tank. Well I know the answer is yes but I also know that yellow tangs and purple tangs have different body structures as hippo, power blue, sohol, etc. and I wasnt sure if they grew smaller since they had obvious different bodies (like dwarf angels and large angels- both angels, different species) so to make a long story.....long lol is a yellow tang a poor choice for a 55? And what other fish could I add to my tank now to add some more color? Thanks!!

A yellow tang will outgrow your 55.If you want to add some yellow you could try a lemonpeel angel or yellow watchman goby.

haha yeah I was expecting the no for the yellow tang, just a thought. but by "color" I just meant some personal favorites for a 55 reef (that would go/get along with what I have) not necassarily yellow to match the tang. does this change your opinion?? lol

I would suggest a bi-color blenny as they are pretty and fun to watch.
Another good choice would be a Yellowhead Jawfish.
Both are inexpensive and fairly hardy fish.
I also have a 55 Gallon tank with a Percula, Firefish, 6 Line Wrasse, 2 Peppermint Shrimp, Porcelain Crab, and just added a Spotted Hawkfish about an hour ago.
