Hey guys! i FINALLY got my 55 tank ive been saving for last night
and i still have a long rode of setting it up ahead of me but i wanted to ask...
WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN IT!!!!
sooo i was thinking:
-1 scopas tang (I already have her and shes pretty small but she will move to a bigger tank when she grows a little more
)
-1 maroon clown
-some sort of anthias
thats all i got for now but i was wondering if you could help me out. What else could i have (i was kind lookin for somethin blue/green
going for lots o' color!)
oh! and i almost forgot, this tank will have a 20 gallon sump/ refugium on it also

thanks for responding
this helps alot! any one else out there! i really want to know what my options are.
Also i would like to know some other things that will help me along:
1. What kind of corals can i have? Equipment: 260w of PC lights, coralife skimmer, 40 lbs live rock to start.
2. Is this enough water flow? overflow- 600gph (into sump), pump-581gph (out of sump), Hydor Koralia powerhead -400gph (in DT) and a Flo rotating deflector on the outtake (wavemaker effect).
3. Anything and everything about refugiums!?!? how deep of sand bed?, lights??, inhabitents? etc
4. Supplements for corals???
Anything pictures, links, personal opinions, will help me sooo much cause im a reef noob!
Im open to everything! thanks for your help

my personal opinion would be to get rid of the maroon and get two percs, and them get like five green chromis.
This would give you nice color in the tank and make your tang the main show fish.
The only thing is the tang will out grow the 55gallon fast. some would say overstocked to.
but thats my opinion.

-scopas tang (explained earlier)
- 1 male lyretail Anthias
- 3 blue-green chromis
-small wrasse (?type?) OR 1 cherub angel
-1 clown (?type?)
Does this seem ok to you guys???

if you get an angel, you can't have corals. most of them pick at corals. and also, most corals aren't going to do good under those lights. thats the same light i used to have, and corals never lived. i upgraded to T5 and love it.
here is my livestock in my 55.
-small tang (i know, flame me)
-False Percula
-6 Line Wrasse
-Bicolored Blenny (get one of these)
-Firefish
-Cleaner Shrimp
-Brittle Star
Corals are: Candy Cane, yellow polyps, bunch of zoos, xenia, leathers, open brain, clam, GSP, frogspawn, colt coral, bubble coral, and a boat load of mushrooms
