so far my cleaner wrass is my most active fish and is always eatig what ever i put in the tank. i got mine from africa. i hear the ones from hawaii are the ones that are having all the problems. it really is interesting that,. that is the way it is and most of the time it is the other way around.

One day I went to the pet shop and a person returned a small hum a trigger not even 5 inches because he killed a 8 inch lionfish . I read on some website about triggers and they like to bite at long fins

Sure id believe it. Tank size w sw o think is often misunderstood. Its not really about gallons, its more length. Tangs, angels, ect like room to swim. So the longer the tank the better. It could be 15 inches high but 6ft long and the fish has its swim room. Now the other is issue is amount of fish. People tend to want to over stock. so get a bigger tank and u can. Rt? Not really lol. I ride The edge of my tank capacity, but I have excellent filtration. Lots of lr and filtration rated for 100 gal in my 75. I truly believe live rock is huge in helping bio filtration just my option tho. With that said dont over stock lol

Wooo easy buddy lol.your talking about 1 fish alone in a smaller tank. Much easier to do than keeping alot of fish. W sw fish there are never guarantees they will get along. The more u add the more u roll the dice. Stress is a bad bad thing it causes issues. If you want to have a "full" tank choose carefully. Be conservative and do your fish research

well when i saw his it was happy as a clam. he has been doing salt for over 40 years. (sence he was a freshman in high school) he also clames his triggers live longer alone in his 30 tank. he also added that his trigger loves to have him put and form better bonds with ther "master". he sayse the snowflake will be able to hold his ground agenst a trigger but i still dont dont know.
i mean has anybody tried it. ive seen it and it is working. my tank will be bigger than his any way. he should grow full size (9") and the tank it is as thick as a 75 just shorter. the clown survived its expected life span. and they get way bigger. so after long reaserch i will THINK about it.

Triggers themselves are not hard fish to keep. Its generally how they are w other fish that becomes an issue

so you are saying if i keep one as a loner fish it would be ok. and for talking about this stuff i dont want anybody to hate me like newtofish. i am just really interested in doing this and keeping him happy. and if you do the math on the demenshons on a 40 breeder its actualy more like a 50g. lol ho would have known

Reading your posts and threads we can see that the two of you are polar opposites. No worries mate.

And I for one don't "hate" him. I'm just going to sit back and watch him burn his hand on the stove.

I would go with the 40 breeder if you can get one. The 40 dimensions are 36 3/16 x 18 1/4 x 16 15/16 and the 55 is 48 1/4 x 12 3/4 x 21. The 55 is a foot longer but the 40 breeder is 6 inches thicker. Can hold about the same amount of fish so i would say the 40 breeder. Really depends on what type of fish you want to keep. For tangs and angels i would go with the 55 due to the increase in swimming room (which these fish need). Anything else, i would choose the 40 breeder.
