55g - Koralia 3 or Koralia 2???

I have decided to get 2 Hydor Koralia's to replace my MaxiJet 1200 with Flo attachments. I am not going with the SureFlo or the Eco Mods so wanted to know which would be correct for a 55g reef.
Koralia 2 - 600 gph
Koralia 3 - 850 gph
My current 1200's are pushing 295 gph each so this will be a big flow upgrade.
Thanks, John

Based on the 1400gph sure flow/maxijet 400 combo and 600gph return pump (probably 350gph-ish actual in tank) I have in a 3ft 30g with sand I would have to say the 3's without doubt if your planning a reef tank (unless its a mushroom, low flow coral tank). If its a FOWLR the 2's will suffice.

I already have a reef. Right now I have the two 1200s and a quiet one 3000 return pump.
With my current config I get 18x turnover.
With Koralia 2 I would get 27x turnover.
With Koralia 3 I would get 35x turnover.
Doubling the turnover seems a little excesive.

I think you would be fine with the 2's. I have 2 3's and a 2 in my 125 and have plenty of flow. I also have a mag 18 though

Not if you want to keep detritus suspended and no dead spots and its random (propeller based powerheads). I have over 55x turnover. The main reason for it is because I plan on keeping SPS but so far all I have for corals are candy cane and pagoda cup and neither are bothered. the fish certainly dont care. My rule of thumb is if it isn't strong enough to blow sand around it cant be too strong for the tank (it doesn't take much to blow sand around). Just keep the low flow stuff down their low by the sand.

I ordered 2 #2's for 33 a piece. If they are not enough flow, I will get a 3 and try it out.
Thanks for the input!

It's a little late now but I thought I would add that I have a 55g with one #4 and one #3 and seems to be okay just added the #3 last week. This is in addition to a quietone 3000 for my return and my canister for a total of about 2600gph or 47x turnover. My xenia gets blown around pretty good but must like it because it keeps climbing up in front the the powerhead and is still spreading like mad.
