55g tang

I have a yellow tang in my year old reef and there is fairly good swimming room in the middle...about 2 feet and the live rock is piled into sort of pillers on one side......the tang is only about 3 inches and shares his house with a clown and bangia
do you think he will out grow it....cause i really don't want to have to deal with catching another fish

i think tangs need a 6 foot long tank to be happy, i am not sure how long a 55 is but if its 6ft long you should be fine:yes:

well my 55g tank is about 4-5 feet. i have a yellow tank but it is very small so for now he will be ok but as soon as he grow he will need a 100g tank

a standard 55gal is 4' long. he'll outgrow that before too long, but the 100 gal should hold him ok... personally, i would rather keep a fish of that size in a 6' tank to allow him plenty of swim room. just my $0.02...
