I use a SeaClone 100. Up to 100 gallons. $69.99
I have had good luck with mine but I think most here don't like the SeaClones.

I use an AquaC Remora with Surface Skimmer and Bubble Eliminater on my 55gal -$200 and on my 29gal I use a CPR BakPak with Skimmer and Bubble Eliminater $160....

I got the same AquaC as arkey, but for $160

I had a SeaClone and wouldn't recommend it to anyone now. I've heard of others like FishPhreak having luck with them, but I think they're worthless.
The skimmer isn't really something I'd recommend being cheap with. If you need another month to afford a better one . . . wait. :D

I have that Prizm and it is junk. I am looking for another hang on model too. My complaint with the Prizm is the flow control. It is wacky. Sometime I get nothing and otehr times I get liquid in the cup - it is hard to find a nice medium.

We probably bought them from the same online retailer. Glad to see you can take a joke! :D
Do you think the surface skimmer/bubble eliminator are worth it?

We probably did.:) I like the surface skimmer, I don't have to worry about surface films and such, plus the bubble eliminator does it's job too.

Yes. Arkey and I both use the AquaC Remora on a 55. Send me an email and I can reply with the retailer.

I just bought a AquaC Remora last week. Started producing foam within 24 hours (I heard it would take a week or two and that is also what the manual indicated for the break-in period).

my skilter 400 produces foam, it can produce it in about two hours but the bubbles are horrible and its loud. Looking for another skimmer/sump.

I bought an Aquatic Technologies turbo-venturi skimmer and so far so good. It cost me $50. I had to connect an air pump up to the air intake for it to draw in air correctly, but I got one for free from my college. It works better than any skimmer I've seen with the air pump connected to it imo.
ps- I don't know if mine was defective, but I recieved a lot of input saying that I needed to let the skimmer season overnight before it would intake air correctly on its own. I never gave it a chance because it works damn beautifully with the air pump connect. So nicely, in fact, that I may hook up an air pump to all my future skimmers.

mud, i'm going to check out your skimmer. is it loud? PRIZMS ARE JUNK!!! i would never recommend them. mine are loud, inconsistant flow, and sometimes just don't flow at all. everytime i clean them, they take a few days to adjust and always a new airline. for the price, i'd rather buy crack and kill myself.

From what has been said on this forum, you get mixed reviews. Some say they work fine for them others say they constantly need adjustments and are junk, with you get what you pay for attitude........
