Hi,
Im going to likely purchase a 56 gallon column tank this week and was wondering if someone could show me some photos of one. I can't find any good photos on the net. I've seen them before and wont buy until I see but, if I like it, Im going to buy it.
Would you recommend a 56 gallong column tank or a 46 gallon bowfront?
I have a reef aquarium with a 250 Watt MH light.
I just like the idea of a deep tank (even if not so long) like the column.

I have seen them before and i like them also but i cant seem to find a picture for you. I have a 46 gallon bow and i regret not going bigger. Even though this is my first saltwater tank and ive had great success. Deep tanks are harder to clean but if thats what you like go for it. Its all personal preference. Before i saw the bowfront i ordered a 40 gallon hex and changed it. Ive always been told that bigger is better in saltwater aquariums. My next tank will be over 100 gallons. Good luck

is a column tank the same as a hex?

Just keep in mind, the deeper the tank, the higher the lighting requirement to penetrate to the bottom.
