I was doing some research for a 150 gal. tank I was thinking of making a reef. How does $650 sound for a retro fit system with 3 - 400 watt MH's 2- 20,000 Radium bulbs, and 1- 10,000 Ushio bulb. Would this be enough lighting, and is the price good. This is from Hellolights. Can I get this system cheaper?

not bad, but will have more heat because there magnetic. I just ordered two 400 MH Icecaps ballasts w/ 20k bulbs and spider refectors for $650.

No...but that site sells items other than 400watt 20k radiums!
SWF.com doesn't stock 400W lights so this shouldn't get erased......
One interesting thing about my purchase is the spider reflectors. It may be a gimic, but because of the "patented" design you can provide light to 3 feet of space rather than the conventional 2 ft. If it works I will only need two MH for 5 ft water area rather than 3 MH. I can always add another if they suck.
Good luck.

I don't know the link of the site, but I know that Mr Salty has a source that has very cheap MHs but has amazing performance and the like. Youl could ask him or do a search on here, but I know I would definitely look into it before you make a purchase.
PS Just to give you an example, I think that they have 175W MH Retros for $80 or $85.
