I have a friend that has a 6g long bookshelf tank. Basically the tank is only about 8in high. It has an 18w flouresent light on it. Can he have mushrooms, button polyps, and/or GSP in it?

anybody else want to weigh in. I gave him some frags of mushrooms, button polpys, GSP and a little bitty frag of blushing coral. He says that they all opened up except for the GSP, but now they are slowly starting to emerge. I have a small bit of live rock rubble that has one lonely zoo polpy on it. Would that survive.
He wants to upgrade, but until then I was curious as to what will survive under that amount of light.

maybe...its tought to say....thats still only liek 3 wpg of standard flourescent...the corals will definitely be light deprived...and in a new tank, i dont see the oddsa being too good that they'll do well. Just get his a small pc fixture
