I lost:
1 false perc
1 royal gramma
1 sixline wrasse
1 flame angel
1 cleaner shrimp
1 tube sponge
this all occurred with in about 15 hours or so I was lucky enough to have the money to set up a hospital tank the next day and I cycled it within 3 days
I think if I would have waited two more days I would have lost my ricordeas for sure as well as my mushrooms.... my zoos probably could have made it a week or so. they just started opening up... but now that everything is in my 6 gal its looking alot better my corals are starting to gain their color back and my clown is alot less sluggish and actually eats now

this wasnt in my 6 gal this was in my 30... i know it was crowded in there a little but i had a good skimmer and i was meticulous with my matinence

As others stated, sorry for your losses, sucks having a tank crash. I know all too well how that goes and feels. Hope it doesn't happen again.
Glad you were able to save some, little tank looks good. Good luck with everything.

yeah, I'm heading tward a tank crash too. lol.
One of my 55 gallons is filled with cyanobacteria, and the top has dusty looking stuff on top of the water. Looks horrible, but the nepthia in it is blooming and doing fine.
I attribute it to having crushed coral in the tank.

When I was 15 years old I had a red belly pirhana tank. 3 of them in a 40 gallon. It was my pride and joy.
Unfortunately, I knew nothing. The tank was great for almost a year, until I decided I was going to rearrange the tank and do a monster water change. I think it was the combo of stirring up the substrate and adding 20 gallons of uncycled water, and the tank did not have enough beneficial bacteria left to fight off the ammonia.
Strangely, it was easier to get over this because I learned what I did wrong. It's when you dont KNOW why it happened that must drive you nuts.
Anyway, whatever happened, hopefully you learned something, and anything you can share with us will serve as good knowledge for us too.

well im thinking my crash came from
1) something on my hands
2) my parents sprayed some airfreshener
3) the sponge that I put in there 24 hrs before the crash was carrying something
I think I have narrowed it to one of those things but I will never know for sure
