?? 7 day cycle ?? possible...????

I set up a 10g seven days ago for a QT...about 8lbs LR, bb, with a small damsel...I just checked my water and everything is reading perfect...Ph 8.2 and zero across the board...whats going on...it could'nt have cycled yet????? Anyone have feed back for me????

Do a 1 gallon water change and check the levels in a few days.
Was the water you put in the tank fresh or from another tank?
Are you going to treat fish in the tank or just use it to acclimate?

A LFS set me up with a few good chunks of thier LR out of a 4+ year old tank..that only has "not for sale" fish in it...and I got 5g of RO water from them too...so how should this water change effect my tank if in fact it hasn't gone threw its cycle... or will the water change be a tell/tell sign it has in fact cycled...By the way, I appreciate you feed back :happyfish

I had my 55 going and it cycled in about a week and a half to 2 weeks "my stuff was off the charts and all I had in it was 20lbs of live sand" So I would say yes it is possible for it to cycle in a week "I also set up a 10 gallon QT and used "about" a cup of the sand and it staied the exact same stats as my main tank through the hole thing!"
