For the tank itself, what did you use? the AGA Mini-Bow 7? If so, did you drill it yourself?

Hey plum awesome nano... I second DVskins recommendation... that darn hair algae will stay even when the nutrients are gone sometimes... so just whcak it out with the toothbrush, and make sure the nutrients are gone...

Will Do, thanks, what kind of light do you like 6500k or 5000k, I would think the 5000k is too low, I have dual customsealife 9 watt and 27 watt bulbs the 9 watts are actinics

wat r u gonna do with the cowfish wen he gets big, put him in ur big tank?
wat do u use as a cleanup crew for a nano, mine is so small, i cant put anything big like a trochus snail in. i have only 1 bumblebee snail, but there so lazy they do a crappy job. im thinking of grabbing sum tiny blulegs.

You might lose some good stuff at first, but when I first set my nano up there were just two patches of hair algae that never dissappeared, even with 3 astreas, 1 trochus, 3 bumblebee, emerald crab, and hermits...
get your clean up crew first and see what they do, and then after a while scrub the areas they don't handle...

PLum Looks great!!
Scrub that hair off before you add anything. I got rid of all of my hair and now I am battling Cyano in my 5 gallon - it looks pretty bad right now .... going to kill lights on it for a couple of days!!

150.00 with a 13watt and 9 watt light in there which I took out,
this was supposed to be set up on an executives desk, never made it, I went to walmart and built a matching oak stand for it

thanks all, yes a reef, have plenty of light to keep some nice corals, today added a sallylightfoot and 6 blue leg hermits, leaving lights off for a few days, lets see what happens:)
BTW this will be at the Florida Marine Aquarium show, my entry
I have to 5/23 to create a nice interesting reef,

Very nice, Plum!
Just keep in mind that cowfish will release deadly toxins when they die or when they're stressed. Such toxins can easily whipe out all inhabitants in such a small volume of water.
Anyway,
The fish looks awesome! It has great coloration.
Take Care,
Graham
