7 pack! of my diy halide canopy.

well its built, just needs to be painted and waiting on the bulbs to arive at my front door any day now. my dad built this for me over the weekend. so much thanks goes out to him and the hard work he put into it.
well off to the pics, tell me what you think.

all the wires come out the top. you can see the wires for the halides, and my harness for my diy moonlights that i showed off in another post. my ballast for my pcs will be mounted up here when i ready to switch things over.

on tank and open, and if you havent noticed. my stand sits alot higher than most peoples, so with the addition of the canopy its a really tall setup. but looks really good, no bending down to look in the tank.

Hey skirby, what did you use to line the inside of your canopy top for your MH. and do you have a setup for vho lighting also? nice canopy by the way, i hope to builb one similar to urs.

the top is the reflector that came with the whole halide setup. im not going to be useing vhos. im going to have my powercompacts as actinics with the halides. my halide bulbs are going to be 2 175watt xm 10ks, ive heard alot of good about the xm, so i think ill be happy with them

Looks like ya'all did a very good job constructing the new canopy...and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the new MH's. Definitely has the makings of a sweet reef....keep us posted. As for your friend...I miss seeing her around these parts myself and wish her all the best...

Looks great. I'm on the process of building a canopy for MH as well, I was thinking about taking apart my CSL hood for PC actinics. Could you please tell me what brand MH ballast you went with. There are so many options and such huge price differences. Cool touch has a daul 175 that looks nice but is a bit expensive. Any help would be appreciated.
