I know u Americans are not the biggest fans of Formula 1, but is anyone a Schumacher fan and did u watch him win his 7th world championship last night at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
He only finished second, behind Kimi Räikkönen, but it would have to have been the best race this year, i think only 10-12 cars ended up finish, there were some good craches.
So ity was a good race but is anyone else interested in f1 like me, i usually stay up till early in the morning cause in Australia the telecasts are live so it means it gets shown on the sunday nite. i am a bit of a f1 nut, anyone else the same.

I've never been able to get into any car racing on TV...but back in the late 70's I did go to Indy for the 500...nothing like it in the world...in person it was fun...but on TV I never get interested.

I was an F1 fan up until the 2002 US Grand Prix. I attended that race and the other USGPs up until that point and really enjoyed them. This was about the time that Ferrari's dominance started getting out of hand. Schumacher had a 45 second or so lead over Barichello going into the last two laps. He slowed down for Barichello to catch up for a side-by-side finish. Schumacher slowed down too much and lost the race to Barichello by a few hundredths of a second. I won't watch F1 again until at least 2 or 3 teams can challenge Ferrari enough that they won't be tempted to do stupid things like that again.
Now, the IRL and NHRA are the only motorsports series I follow. I've watched the IRL since 1996 and really like how the series has progressed, and now can't wait to see these cars on the road coarses next year.

I am a fan of any type of motor sport. Not a huge fan of Ferrari but you have to give them their due. They are the dominant team. I was really hoping to see Montoya mount some sort of challenge to Schumacher this year but it never did happen. Maybe the McLearan team is on their way back up so he will be able to next year.

I love F1. Schumacher is just the best in the world and that is that. I think that I nore anybody alive today will never ever see the things we are seeing today. Just look at him. He is just the best and people can say that he wins just because of his Ferrari but that is totally wrong. The one time he took his wife in a 2 setter Manardi! A manardi! ok and he was about 1 seccond off the track record!! It just shows you how good he is and someone has too step up to the plate and the only person i think can do that is Barichello. If your take out Schumacher who do you have left and that is Barichello. He has finished every race in 2 or 3 this hole year. I don't think Montoya is very good. He seems to be a little mean on the reporters side but I have never met him so i could no know exactly.
Congrats Michael!!! How your win your 8th

I didnt mean to take anything away from Shumacher. He is one of or if not the best drivers of all time. Next year should be interesting with all the driver changes that are going to happen. But on the other hand to build something great like Ferrari you need to cosistency that they have with their two drivers.

i do agree with ya, he is the best but the sport is becoming boring because of his dominace, but i love watchin the mid field fights.
next year will be one of the best years for me i think cause i will be a Mark Webber man all the way. his move to BMW along with Jenson Button should be fantasitic, aslong as BMW can supply a decent car, so i cant wait for next year, bring on Webber.
