Hmm... not sure about all three tangs in the 70. You could probably get away with one, but we'll let the Tang Police comment on this
Any idea how long it is?
Also not sure about the damsels. They're mean little buggers. You'd be better off getting some more interesting fish, such as the Midas Blenny ( okay, so I'm the Midas Pusher
)
You will LOVE the Toby (or Valentini) Puffer. We just got one about two nights ago, and he has become my second favorite fish (right behind my Midas.) However, it's hit-or-miss, as far as them being reef-safe. They do love to nip at hermit crabs and snails, and basically anything with a shell. Mine has already killed two hermits that I know of and takes great delight in attacking my snails and other hermits while I'm watching. Others have said that they will eat any corals you have in the tank, but mine has ignored my zoo's and GSP's so far...
Anywho, happy tanking! Let's see what the other have to say...

Thanks for the advise, it was helpful. I have modified my inventory and changed my tank size goal (i haven't bought the tank yet
)
Here's my new inventory:

1 yellow tangs
1 blue tang
1 Midas blenny
2 GSMs
1 black toby

People will say a YT is fine but I'd have to disagree. I wouldn't put a single tang in a 70g and you still have two on your list. You may regret the damsels but everything else looks fine. Ask if a foxface would be a better replacement for the tang, though it still may be too big for the tank.

I am currently trying to rid myself of a really aggressive damsel. DO not get them unless you are trying to cycle a new tank. I am so mad, and I can't wait to trade him in at my LFS.
I would go with something more interesting and less aggressive.

Yeah, the "rule of thumb" that most people go by, is nothing less than a 75 gallon and nothing less than a 6' tank for Tangs. There are people here and on other forums that would suggest you get a 90+ if you want to do Tangs.
EDIT: Saw that you replied while I was typing my reply.
That last list looks pretty good if you get a large tank, but not sure what the H. Butterfly's tank requirement is... I'm sure someone else has input on that

The toby might nip at some of the coral/ inverts. Tangs NEED at least a 6' tank to really thrive, anything smaller they will most likely get disease and die and early death.

as far as the yellow tangs go i would stick with one. they need a lot of swimming room..
the blue tang may get a little big but i think its do-able
the toby puffer you will like. fun little guy to watch. likes to pick on my live rock. get him some meaty foods :happyfish
i wouldnt waste space on damsels they are aggresive and hard to get out when you want to. save it for some kind of hawkfish or something else
the chromis will be good because they are schooling fish.

Noooo, don't replace the puffer!

Like I said earlier, it really is hit-or-miss. If you do a search on this board for Valentini puffers, and read through all of the posts like I did, you'll see that most peoples Valentini's are well-behaved, only taking an occasional nip at a crab or snail.
The problems with firefish is that they jump a LOT. Even if you have egg-crate, they'll most likely jump out of one of the holes, land on top of the egg-crate and die there. My LFS has this happen a lot. They are gorgeous though... especially the purple ones!
Your current list sounds great! Keep us updated!
