2-3 inch sand bed of aragonite sand.
you can start adding your fish as soon as it cycles. I'd start off with the marine betta first and get him eating then start adding your other fish slowly.

ok thanks! you guys have been a ton of help already! So you only feed eels like 3 times a week? or what? cuz i dont want it to eat like smaller fish in the tank.

I found that feeding my eel every 3-4 days is just about right

Agreed! Also, it helps to have a feeding stick or tongs to try and get the food directly to the eel.

ya i was already thinking i needed a feeding stick. So it sounds like the eel eats 2 times a week. so what about the other fish should i feed them every day?
