I too am getting ready to set up my 72. I just finished the plumbing for the inside of the tank. I painted the back of it black and then after reading some posts on here I scraped it off and went with a blue. You can also see how bad the glass is scratched up in these pictures. I plan on polishing some of them out. Put I got such a great deal on everything I had to take it.

I thought maybe you scrached it cleaning off the paint. Probably once the water is in you will not see them untill the green stuff grows in them and you can't get it out

This tank we paid $200. for tank and stand. Canopy cost $175 it's wood (hard to find because no makes the anymore). It is set up as a reef tank.

I think it was close to 3 weeks. The tank is adout 6 months old now.

what is your oppinion on how much view distortion there is with the curved glass? my freshwater tank (a 46 bow) doesnt seem like theres that much.

I dont know about those but the 54gal corner tank I had was rounded in the front and everything looked magnifed.
