i see you use crush coral for the bottom. do you have any problems with it? i only ask becouse i have cc and was thinking of changing it to sand!

It is some biger pieces though most of those larger hunks are either snail shells etc... most ofthe smaller "Sand has sifted under and larger chunks rise to surface. LOng story short its not what i would call the standard crushed coral of back in the day those were large pebble pieces if im correct its not fine sand but more of a mix.. but no no problems. i have large engineer that sifts thru it and only run a inch deep sand bed. When i do get a new tank id either use the same stuff as i got alot more in buckets, or go barebottom. if for some reason i went with a deep sand bed it would all get changed out for fine sand mostly for the look of it.

Thanks.. sorry to hear that tho hope your recovery is going well.... just about chucked the whole thing the day of the crash, had a kalkwasser accident.. tnak was pure white had given up till i saw my little clowns swimming at the surface. since i saw life i dove in an rescued what i could. corals were probably 90 percent loss fish did better but i lost the most expensive fish and the cheap ones survived some are still with me from the crash... engineer, royal gramma, lawnmower, clowns, brittle stars all survivors of a tank turned white as a pice of paper by an massive kalk overdose :(
