going to set up a 75 gallon fish only system. its going to have a 20 gallon sump and a mrc mr2 skimmer (one of ,if not the best skimmer out there) the skimmer can handle a 300 gallon tank. i was wondering if this will do:
2 clown fish
2 green chromis
1 purple dottyback
1 blue spotted puffer
1 bicolor angel
1 yellow long nose butterfly
1 pinkface wrasse
1 niger trigger

thanks for the feedback

Only issue I c is the trigger. While the niger is one of the more docile triggers its still a trigger

that is true. btw there will be no invertebrates in the aquarium. also, have you had experience with the niger trigger, or do you know anyone who did? if the trigger is out of the question ,how about a blue hippo tang

Too small of a tank for the tang or I would have one lol. As for trigger yes I had one many yrs ago. Other peeps would have better info, but I believe the blue throat triggers are more peaceful

That is right but they are also 65$ at my lfs. I can't spend that muchsince this is going to be a FOWLR system, save the $$ by eliminating the skimmer and get the fish.

This may sound harsh, and isnt meant to be. If you want to enjoy sw you cant be cheap. Iam not saying buy $100 fish, but if getting what will wrk in your tank fish wise is 20-40 more do it. It will save u money in the end

Will it work? Honestly there are no guarantees. I have a kole tang supp to be fairly docile, almost killed a coral beauty and has killed a clown, chromis, royal gramma. I put the angel w my yellow tang and fox face no issues at all. Yellows are supp to be more aggressive then the kole. I had the luxury to have multiple tanks so if it doesn't work I can take them out and move them. In your case if it doesn't work youll have dead fish.
if u want to try it, add all your fish first then add a small niger last. I would also add hermits and snails the more he has to snack on the less yummy his tank mates may look

man, i don't know what to do....
i think that i might maybe just hold off on the whole trigger thing until the holidays roll by. that way i can have enough money for a blue throat. i don't want to have any casualties. or maybe skip the whole trigger thing and replace it with something els.

There cool fish , but aggressive fish. I keep community fish bc u can have so many more together as opposed to an aggressive tank

Lol ok not all tangs r created equal. A purple get to a similar size as a yellow, but needs a larger tank due to its more aggressive nature. Angels. Yes only 1 per tank. The wrasse it depends on size and origin. When i got mine, they had 3 diff priced ones bc of size. 32-52.I got the 52 Lol Hes Gorgeous
