Does anyone have a 75 (48x18x21) or 90 (48x18x25) reef tank set up? I was thinking about getting a 75 up and I was trying to get some ideas as to a stocklist. Id like to hear about everyone elses stocklist for their reef before starting to plan mine. Im going to be using Nova Extreme Pro T5HO 6x54W lighting fixture. As of fish, Id like to know what everyone keeps. Also, could that lighting keep a deresa clam? If so, one will definately be in my stocklist
. Thanks in advance.

IMO the clam should be fine with the nova pro. Just add after tank is about 6 months old.

I just recently sold my 75 reef, but here is what I had...
6x54 watt TEK T5 fixture
2 Percula Clowns
1 Lawnmower Blenny
3 Green Chromis
1 Coral Banded Shrimp
20 or so Nassarius snails
20 or so small Hermit crabs
I think I was pretty lightly stocked as far as fish go...

I thought foxface eat coral? I also thought hippo tangs werent good for a tank as small as 75gal? I could be wrong, I hope I am. I would love to keep one of these. How are they with corals and inverts? I would love to have one of these guys. My LFS has some that are well over 8-9" in their display tank. Just beauties.

I was looking through the SWF fish section, and I really like the False percula and black and white clownfish. I know I could keep one or the other, but I was wondering (depending on bioload), if I could keep a pair of both? Or would they pair if there was just one of each? If not, it wont bother me. Ill just pick one coloring.

The foxface is a risk with corals. Mine liked my brain coral. But never touched anythng else. If u want different clowns u should add them all at the same time in pairs not odd numbers. I recommend just one pair tho. IMO a hippo is fine in a 75g just start out with a small one about 3". But a bristletooth type tang would be better suited for a 75g. Like tomini or kole tang.

I was also thinking about yellow tangs and sailfin tangs. Which of the three would be more suited for a 75? I like them all, and maybe if I upgrade I will have one hippo and one of the other two. I know the yellow and sailfin shouldnt be kept together, but I havent read anything about keeping a hippo and either a yellow or sailfin.

I had a 75g, moved and thought about buying a 90g to replace it, until I found the 110g X-Hi, still the same footprint as the 75 & 90, just deeper (taller) than the others. Only issue you might have is with your lighting, I had to upgrade mine to MH's.

Singly or a school of 3? I hear they do quite well in odd groups like chromis. I thought three would be a little much, but Im not sure.
