HAS ANYONE EVER USED A PRODUCT CALLED 'LIVE SAND'. IF SO IS IT A QUALITY PRODUCT AND DOES IT ELIMINATE THE CYCLE?
WHAT WILL MY TEST READINGS LOOK LIKE OVER THE FIRST FEW WEEKS?

Are you referring to a specific brand of live sand called LIve Sand...or live sand in general?

IT ISN'T CALLED LIVE SAND, BUT THAT'S HOW THE DEALER CALLED IT. IT COMES IN A PACKAGE 20LBS PER, THE SAND IS MIXED WITH WATER AND THE PACKAGE HAS AN EXPIRATION DATE ON IT.

i have 45lbs of ls it is very good! it helps filtrate the tank and makes cycling somewhat faster it is worth the price i think
but ls is just basically sand with millions of organisms crawling around
these organisms are very good for your tank they need no special requirements but you might want to get a little bit more pwerful lights

i bought a 20 lb bag of ls it was carib-sea aragonite that was packaged with water it helped cycle the tank quicker and helped stabalize the ph, added dry sand also and seeded it with a micro fauna kit. (that bag of live sand was called live because it had benefical bacteria in it to break down ammonia and nitrites) if that is what it was i would reccomend it
