It's certainly cool to see these fish gaining popularity, and they truly are the puppy dogs of the sea, albeit well-armed puppies.
It's my opinion that many folks say that lions don't swim much because they usually aren't given the room to do so. When we moved our volitans to its current setup, it now spends much more time cruising about in the water column or begging for a handout. It's odd how fast they can swim when they have some room!
The smaller lions in the 60 gal are funny too...they "switch on" when they see one of us walk into the room, and even the more shy specimens immediately poke their heads out of their caves to see if we have food.
