It's certainly cool to see these fish gaining popularity, and they truly are the puppy dogs of the sea, albeit well-armed puppies.
It's my opinion that many folks say that lions don't swim much because they usually aren't given the room to do so. When we moved our volitans to its current setup, it now spends much more time cruising about in the water column or begging for a handout. It's odd how fast they can swim when they have some room!
The smaller lions in the 60 gal are funny too...they "switch on" when they see one of us walk into the room, and even the more shy specimens immediately poke their heads out of their caves to see if we have food.
Keep the pix and updates coming Speg!

oh ok, but no pics tonight--tired.
He comes to the glass everytime I'm near but doesn't do it for my wife...and he'll eat even if the food isn't moving now...basically as soon as it comes out of the turkey baster he is on it..
He has some amazing blue eyes...
Oh, and he also had gotten a small hole in his left wing. Will this heal up on its own and does that happen a lot? I'm not sure how he would have gotten that.

It'll heal up. He could have got it exploring caves. They aren't TOO prone to it, but it does indeed happen.
Yes, I agree they can ID who feeds them.
