90gallon Stocking Question

I am most likely upgrading tanks to a 90 gallon tank and was wandering if my tank would be overstocked with the following: 1 Kole Tang, 1 Blue Tang, 2 Perc, and 5 Firefish. My only other question would be if I decided not to go with one of the tangs could I switch in an angel say a majestic? Thanks in advance.

A good rule to go by is one inch of fish for every 3 gallons of water. That means for your 90 gallon, you can have (about) 30" of fish. This is only a general rule because it depends on the size of fish you're dealing with. For example, let's say you have 15 fish that are all 2" long. (15x2=30") and another tank has 5 fish that are 6" long (5x6=30") the tank with the five 6" fish has a higher bio load rating because they use up more oxygen, produce more waste, etc. So again, it's just a guideline.

you should be ok, but it really depends on the kind of fish not how big the fish is. get the book marine fishes by scott michael to help you decide.

IMO i wouldn't do the Angels, stick with the tangs. Also which Blue Tang?
Angels are very territorial

im my 120 gallon i have had no problem with my angelfish being territorial he is very peaceful and pretty much does his own thing. or whould the size diffrence make a fish become territorial?
im not shure im thinking of selling my 120gallon its only about a year and a half old if theres any bids

Get rid of the fire fish and buy a Black Hawaiian Trigger and a Harlequin Tusk.
