a ? about water

hi all i live in mass and have a artiesion well that has very hard water with a high iron content. i have a water softener and iron filter for the whole house. i can only bypass both. what would be the best thing for me to do for water for my tank? thanks

Mass is a great place to live!
Lived there for 25 years....
My fist thought is to buy RO water from an independant manchine. They are usually ouside healthfood stoes. It runs about 1.25 for 5 gallons. Nice and easy.
2nd get a RO machine off that popular web site that rhymes with "day".

thanks for the tip. never seen a water machine any where but never really looked. ill have to keep my eyes peeled. thanks again for the "wicked good" tip

No prblem. The one I use is called Glacier Water. Nice big blue machine with a penquin on the front. What part of Mass?

if you're more on the eastern side of MA, Uncle Ned's Fish farm (millis, MA on rt.109) sells RO water for $.50/gal....you just have to bring your own container.

i know where neds is. did african cichlids for 20 years. he has the best store in the state for africans. its about an hour away. thanks
