A BUNCH of questions.

1.) Do you suggest a High, Medium, or Low demand system? Why?
2.) What is the difference etween an SPS and other types of corals? I mean I know they live in different conditions but other than that?
3.) Do you suggest a Calcium Reactor? Would you put it in the sump/fuge?
4.) Are T5's and Metal Halides only for high and sometimes medium demand systems?
5.) Whats the differnce between T5's and Metal Halides?
6.) I heard you need at lease 2 fans per metal halide light. Where would you get these and what do they look like/called?
7.) How would you go about changing the alkalinity of your DT's water? Water changes only?
8.) Same question...ammonia?
9.) After you add your first fish, how long do you need to wait before adding another?
10.) Do you have to quarentine fish or is it just live rock?
11.) Your clean up crew. Add all at once or a few at a time?
12.) Quarentine clean up crew?
13.) I read somewhere that you have to "spot feed" coral, what does this mean? you sprinkle food on top of them?
14.) How deep should your live sand depth be?
15.) What lives in the live sand? Is it really worms that you can see or beneficial micro-worms?
Sorry for the length but I was doing some research and got a little curious and figured I should know these things. thanks so much in advance.

I'll try to answer as best I can.
1) Not quite sure what you mean by this but if its literal id suggest anything you think you can handle just take it slow and one step at a time.
2) SPS are Small Polyp stonies (scleritans) and generally require better light and water quality. LPS are Large Polyp stonies (scleritans) and have well larger polyps and don't have as high a light demand. And Softies generally have no hard structure and have a lower light demand.
4) Again, not quite sure what you mean. If you mean coral wise I would say they are generally a good thing to have.
5) different kelvins but I use LED's so I don't really have any clue.
8) Ammonia can be brought down using aerobic bacteria that grow on LS (live sand) LR (live rock) and bio balls found in wet/dry filters most effectivly and water changes i believe also help.
9) 3 weeks is the generally accepted time
10) You should quarantine fish. I personally don't and have good resluts moslty because I also run a Uv sterilizer.
11) It doesn't really matter
12) Unless it a fish you don't need to and just acclimate them.
13) You can feed them phytoplankton but its not nescasary. Different kinds are Marine Snow and DT.
14) Either SSB (shallow sand bed) which is 1-3-in or, what I personally like a DSB (Deep sand bed) which are great for harvesting anaerobic (no oxygen) bacteria which keep nitrates down but they have to maintained or they will crash. these are generally 5-8in.
15) Usually just micro-organisms but you can find anything
I answered As best I could but I know little about MH and T5's because i only use LED's.
Hope i helped.

Helped alot, I guess I should have stated the questions more clearly. I was researching on www.reefbasics.com and I was reading about high, medium, and low demand systems, high being with highest lighting keeping organisms like clams and more inverts than others. But thanks so much and I would love to hear more peoples inputs on the subject.
