So I am back finally after close to 4 years after having the massive tank crash that killed everything in My reef tank. So even though I bleach cleaned the tank years ago amd everything else has had those 4 years to dry up and blow away in the Arizona high desert heat and winds... There is still massive salt/calcification from evaporation of the salt water and everything else I finally drug everything back out. The issue today is seeking an easier method of cleaning the glass on the inside to get rid of all that junk. I can do it with a razor blade and take a few days and a few replacement arms from doing it all (150 gal tank) I am hoping maybe there is some home remedy like mixing vinegar and baking soda and watch it miraculously melt all the gunk off and not leave the tank full of some chemical that I would have to re-rinse and re-rinse to get that out.... so...
any ideas or suggestions of easy cheats to get the glass clean before I put livestock in?
I know it sounds silly but it can't hurt to ask while I start scraping away and wait for replies....thank you in advance.
