When I went in for an irregular heartbeat I was waiting for like an hour and this was at midnight during the week. I wasn't short of breath and had no pain, could just feel the beat skipping.
Canon city, where this case is from, is a small town so this is likely the only game in town for hospitals and not very big.
That would give me nightmares. No small towns for me...not even to visit.

I hated Chicago, Lindenhurst, where I live isn't too large, but it has good hospitals in all directions. Those one horse towns with a country doctor, may seem like a dream place until you get really sick or hurt. I like to live in-between the two extremes.
I lived in Orange County Ca which is getting about as bad as LA now. When I was a kid it was OK. Until I hit high school we lived in the middle of an oil field which was cool. Could get away with shooting and there were some pretty cool critters for living in a semi urban area. Then I Moved to Phoenix, like LA, only hotter and harder to get around downtown. Spent the next 13 years in Western Montana in a country with a population around 100K. It had most of the services a big city would. Now I live in the Denver metro area. Certainly an improvement over California and Phoenix but I want out of the urban area. At the moment I am hoping to get out of the state. The Dumbasses in power want to give illegals in state tuition and charge honest citizens for the background checks to buy a gun. I am not going to fund these fools if I can help it.

LOL....I'm way up north, it's cold. Instead of illegals we have gangs that shoot at each other and miss, hitting everyone but their target....I blame it on the stupid way they hold the gun (sideways), I don't know why looking like you have the palsy is "cool" I'm not kidding, they hold their arms close to their bodies with a twisted fist, and limp and jerk as they walk. I would rather have the illegals.
Oh and the young people wear their pants way too big, and show their underwear...the pants are down around their knees and they can't hardly walk up any stairs.

A friend of my brother is a cop in San Diego. Some years back they had an idiot gang banger who did the sideways gun thing and started shooting off warning rounds. Ended up popping himself in the forehead.
We have Illegals and gang bangers here but the general public is fairly well armed so it isn't a huge problem.
